
Penrite has a range of specialty fuel system treatments, designed to assist in either meeting engine emission requirements, protecting older vehicles that now must use unleaded fuel or to act as a fuel system cleaner and lubricant in systems using "dry" fuels such as LPG. Trucks that must meet Euro 4 and Euro 5 emissions standards have SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) systems fitted, must use a Urea based fuel additive to assist in achieving these requirements. Older vehicles, designed to run on leaded fuel, risk valve seat recession with unleaded petrol, without the addition of a fuel additive that can minimise this. Penrite's Valveshield has been formulated to perform 8 times better than the minimum standard requirement in the Mira (UK) controlled test. LPG engines benefit from additional lubrication absent when using a "dry" fuel such as LPG.
