Pro 5 is a premium grade, full synthetic, SAE 5W-30 engine oil developed for use in modern petrol & diesel engines exclusively in professional workshops and vehicle service centres. It uses a combination of the latest additive technology and a low shear rate viscosity modifier, to ensure additional protection against wear, corrosion, oil oxidation, piston deposits and sludge under all conditions.
Pro 5 exceeds API SN/CF specifications and ACEA C3 for use in light duty diesel engines including those fitted with DPF's (Diesel Particulate Filters).
Pro 5 is designed for use in modern 4, 6 & 8+ cylinder multi-cam, multi-valve (including VVT), naturally aspirated, supercharged & turbocharged engines.
Pro 5 can be used where the manufacturer specifies an SAE 5W-20, 5W-30 or 7.5W-30 viscosity engine oil. It may also be used where the fuel economy specifications ACEA A1/B1, A5/B5 and ILSAC GF-5 are specified and in vehicles requiring ACEA A3/B4 made before the 2010 model year, and where ACEA C2 or C3 is specified. It may also be used where GMW 16177 and FORD M2C913-C/D is specified for out of warranty service.
Pro 5 can be used in petrol, LPG, hybrid & diesel engines. It's API SN petrol specification provides exceptional wear protection, minimisation of sludge formation and reduced piston deposits compared to lower grade oils. As an ACEA C3 oil it is Catalyst compatible with diesel catalysts and diesel particulate filters (DPF's) and can be used where the manufacturer specifies a low "SAPS" oil meeting this specification.
NOTE: when changing oil, Penrite recommend using Penrite Engine Flush, a fast acting, solvent free, engine cleaning formulation that removes engine deposits, sludge and contaminants with the oil service drain. It contains added zinc for engine wear protection and its fast acting formulation works in 10 minutes.
