In 2015 at the age of 12 I starting go-karting. Throughout my first year I got better and better. Going into my second year of go-karting I moved up to KA3 Junior. Some of my key achievements were coming 1st in KA3 Junior in the Newcastle Kart Racing Club Championship, 1st in the Newcastle city cup and winning every race both days and comin 3rd in KA3 Junior in the North Shore Kart Club Championship.
Formula Ford: (2017)
This year (2017) I made the move to Formula Ford. For this year I competed in the NSW State Championship. In my first race meeting in Formula Ford won the first round of the NSW State Championship and finished Top 10 nationally. Over the course of the year I had 3 podiums and was very close to finishing 2nd but had to settle for 3rd position in the NSW Formula Ford State Championship.
Formula Ford: (2018)
For 2018 I will be competing in the Victorian State Formula Ford Championship and selected rounds of the Australian Formula Ford Championship with Borland Racing Developments.
To keep myself fit I do 2-3 training sessions a week of swimming which are 1 hour and cardio in between. I find that doing these training sessions helps me a lot with racing and makes me a better driver.
At the moment I'm reading Mark Webbers' book 'Aussie Grit'. It's very interesting how Mark acquired his sponsors and how he climbed the ladder to F1 and I find it helpful in my career and can closely relate to his journey. I've also read the Speed Secrets series by Ross Bentley. The driving techniques and mental techniques that I've read about I've been able in apply them into my driving and I do feel that I improve in my speed and consistency.
