Vantage 15W-40 is a high quality Mineral, SAE 15W-40 engine oil made from pure Hydrocracked base oils and an the latest, Anti-Wear Additive system that provides advanced engine protection, less sludge formation and reduced piston deposits. It meets API SN/CF Specifications.
Vantage 15W-40 is designed for use in modern 4, 6 & 8+ cylinder multi-cam, multi-valve (including VVT), naturally aspirated, supercharged & turbocharged engines. It is a full Mineral product, and therefore is suitable for use in ROTARY engined vehicles such as Mazda RX series (1992 onwards) vehicles that require this Viscosity Grade.
Vantage 15W-40 meets the latest API SN Specification providing increased wear protection, better resistance to sludge formation and lower piston deposits than previous and lower grade oils. It is suitable for use where previous API Specifications SM (2004-10), SL (2001-04), SJ etc were recommended. It can also be used in older diesel engined vehicles where API CF or earlier is specified by the manufacturer.
Vantage 15W-40 is suitable for modern petrol and LPG engines where the use of SAE 15W-40 or 20W-40 oil is specified in the owner's handbook. Use in passenger cars, 4WDs & light commercial vehicles and is compatible with Petrol, LPG (Dual Fuel), E10 and most other conventional fuels. It is not recommended for 4 stroke motorcycles with wet clutches. The appropriate Penrite MC-4ST motorcycle oil should be used for these applications.
NOTE: when changing oil, Penrite recommend using Penrite Engine Flush, a fast acting, solvent free, engine cleaning formulation that removes engine deposits, sludge and contaminants with the oil service drain. It contains added Zinc for engine wear protection and its fast acting formulation works in 10 minutes.
